Chef's Chocolate Avocado Lime Mousse Notes & Tips
This healthy Chocolate Avocado Lime Mousse can be whipped up in 5 minutes. Preferably let it chill for at least 1 hour to thicken. Serve it alone or with coconut yogurt and shavings of dark chocolate. Oh, you won’t regret making it, it’s so delicious!
Avocados are perfectly freezable, simply put the mousse in an ice cube tray and freeze. But why defrost it when you can whiz it up a healthy alternative ice-cream!
Make sure your avocados are Hass and are fairly ripe. If you choose to ripen at home, put them on your window sill for a day or two to soften.
Cacao powder has a milder taste compared to cocoa, either is fine to use but check the carbs...preferably it should be unsweetened. For Keto lovers check out Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa powder, it isn't dutch processed.
This yummy dessert fills you up making it easy to go a few hours without craving food. Sometimes it’s nice to sit back and enjoy a keto meal or dessert that’s completely free-from and vegan.
