This vegan Chocolate Lime Mousse really hits the spot when you’re craving something rich, smooth and yummy. I don’t know about you, but I always crave something sweet at least once a day, it doesn’t matter what it is I just have to have something really good.
Here is the good news, this yummy mousse will satisfy all your cravings! This dessert is what dreams are made of, people!
This vegan option is as yummy as Nigella Lawsons with her full-fat cream and eggs. My version is full of healthy fats and good fruits such as avocado and lime. Yes, Nigella’s is pretty amazing, but I dare you to try mine too!
Chocolate Lime Mousse Tips
Did you know avocado is classified as a fruit and it’s very healthy. It is full of a good fats, and loaded with vitamins and minerals to assist in your well-being.
Avocado is also perfectly freezable, simply put the mousse in an ice cube tray and freeze it. But hey, don’t defrost it, whizz it up in a blender to make a healthy alternative ice-cream, your kids will love it! In saying that, I doubt it won’t last long enough to freeze. To keep it cool store it in the fridge for no more than 3-4 days.
Make sure your avocados are Hass and fairly ripe. If you choose to ripen at home put them on the windowsill for a day ot two to soften. You can use either cocoa or cacao powder, and preferably unsweetened. Cacao powder has a milder taste so I have accounted for that in this recipe.
This healthy chocolate avocado mousse can be whipped up in 2 minutes. Let it chill for at least 1 hour to thicken. I prefer to refrigerate it overnight, for some reason it tastes better. Serve it alone or with coconut yogurt and shavings of dark chocolate. Oh, you won’t regret making it, it’s so delicious!

It makes your life easier when you prepare foods with a kitchen appliance rather than mix by hand. We use a Vitamix to prepare this delicious mousse, but you can easily use a good quality hand blender such as KitchenAid.
In our house, we use a combination of blenders and food processors to prepare foods for different recipes. For good kitchen appliances check out Reviews of Kitchen Appliances We Use and Recommend!

How To Live Healthy Naturally
Though we try to eat as healthy as we can…our bodies need minerals to prevent disease. Because our soil, even organic soil, is extremely depleted we need an extra helping hand. For me, Modere Mineral Solutions is the answer to a busy lifestyle that very often results in poor nutrition.
It’s an amazing liquid supplement containing a proprietary blend of vitamins, minerals and botanical extract. Oh there's more... fulvic acid, collidol silver, electrolytes; all in an ionic suspension and with its high orac value and working on a cellular level too, it make it a fab way to supplement the nutrient shortfall...
