This yummy dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan, raw Goji Berry Brownie is of the scale chocoholic tasty, and is even tastier eaten with a dollop of coconut yogurt. It is full of goodness with a hint of goji and cinnamon.

It is the perfect snack, or to have with your breakfast as I do sometimes. It feels like you're really indulging, but the truth is it's healthy!
I've been making this brownie for a good fifteen years. It was my refuge and source of comfort while having hundreds of food allergies, sad I know but true! It was the only food that was able to put a smile on my face during those dark days when I could only eat very basic foods.
Now that I don't have food allergies and intolerance's, I can vary what goes in it. Sometimes I swap the hazelnuts nuts for Brazils, the Goji's for desiccated coconut, and sometimes I skip the cinnamon for three balls of stem ginger.
Whatever you fancy, however your taste buds are zinging anything goes with this brownie.
Goji Berry Brownie Preparation
This Raw Chocoholic Goji Berry Brownie treat is simple, tastes gorgeous and is easy to make. Once you get the hang of mixing it, you'll have this in the fridge within 5 minutes flat. Be sure to make this a head of time by at least four hours or preferably the day before.

You will need a powerful food processor, we use a Thermomix. A Vitamix or Magimix works equally well. For the ganache you'll need a double broiler, we use a pan of boiling water and a 1 litre pyrex jug. To serve, you'll need a 23cm dish. And there you have it…a delicious vegan, dairy-free, guten-free, Raw Goji Berry Brownie superlicious treat. I found this cake to be particularly lovely with coconut yogurt, it makes it incredibly addictive and refreshing especially with a cup of coffee.
Don't be tempted to remove the brownie from the fridge too early because it won't set. If you want to speed up the setting time pop into the freezer for an hour, thereafter leave it in the fridge. I often put it into the freezer because I'm impatient!
Tasty Raw Goji Berry Brownie
- 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
- 3 tbsp Organic Cocoa Butter
- 1-2 tsp Ceylon Cinnamon
- 50 g Raw Organic Goji Berries
- 100 g Raw Organic Cacao Powder
- 200 g Medjool Pitted Dates
- 400 g Raw Organic Hazelnuts or Brazil Nuts You can use both
- Pinch of Himalayan Salt
Optional Ganache Ingredients:
- 150 g Chocolat Madagascar 100% Cocoa
- 100 g Dairy Free Cream (Oatly or Coconut Cream for Keto Diet) Oatly gives better results
- 6 drops of Vanilla Stevia
Begin melting the cocoa butter in the broiler.
Add hazelnuts to the blender and grind into a crumbly flour. Be careful not to over mix because you don't want it to turn into a nut butter. When I use a Thermomix, I set it on 10 for 5 seconds.
Add the rest of the ingredients including the melted cocoa butter and blend again until all is mixed together. Don't worry if there are odd lumps of dates and goji's.
Pour into a 23 cm dish and press down, I find a dessert spoon useful for this procedure.
Put into the fridge to set for at least 4 hours.
You may want to make this before starting the brownie. Melt the chocolate in a double broiler. Once melted stir in the dairy-free cream and stevia. Mix well before topping the brownie. Top the brownie prior to setting in the fridge.
